ichanged FAQ

I have been asked a few times recently about how often urls are monitored using ichanged lite. At this time it is a cycle of around 15 to 20 mins and has a download limit of 1mb of HTML data.

I will be providing a better turnaround of the checks in the premium version.

iCommute

I've been busy working on a commuting app for the IPhone. Its in review for the App Store now. It allows push notifications to be sent to tell commuters of their train being late or cancelled. It also has a handy compensation checking tool built into the app.

So today we find out if multi-tasking has finally made its way officially into the IPhone without need to jailbreak. Of course, this will be way more geared to IPad imo.

Fascinators site

I have co-created a website for a family member which sells the one thing i would never think about when constructing a site... Fascinators.

For those who don't know what a fascinator is, according to Wikipedia, it is

"a headpiece worn on the hair and worn almost exclusively by women. Fascinators are commonly made with feathers, flowers and/or beads. They attach to the hair by a comb, headband or clip.[1] They are an adornment for formal attire and are an alternative to wearing a hat. They are particularly popular at premium horse racing events, such as the Melbourne Cup or the Grand National. They may also be worn at weddings by guests, and also as an alternative to a bridal veil."

The site is written in PHP5 with a Mysql5 backend, the graphical elements have been designed to be very chic. In terms of SEO, the site is part way through transformation for all the links to be SEO friendly, and soon a mailer plugin will be created so that registered users can keep in touch with new products, announcements and shows.

Internet Business Promoter (IBP) SEO Tool

Found a wonderful tool called Internet Business Promoter, which has been shortend to IBP for ease of memory. Not only does it do a lot of the useful things in regard to figuring out your main competitors for keywords, but it will calculate keyword density on your pages versus the keyword density on your 10 main competitors for the targeted keywords. A time-saving tool if nothing else. Quite pricey, but those in the trade would welcome the spend as SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) does appear to be a growing industry and those in the know are enjoying a bit of a boom.
